As a one-person studio, I take care of each step-from weaving to packing and sending your order. I have gathered the most common questions here, but if there is anything else you would like to know, please feel free to get in touch.

Frequently asked questions

When will my order arrive?

Orders are carefully wrapped and dispatched within three working days.

All items are sent via Royal Mail and will usually arrive within 1–2 days after dispatch. Orders over £75 are sent using a tracked service, and you will receive a tracking number by email.

If there are any unexpected delays, I will contact you as soon as possible.

If your order has not arrived, please allow up to 28 days before getting in touch, as this is the timeframe required to begin a claim with Royal Mail.

Can I order a commission?

I do not currently take commissions.

The yarns I use are often available only in small quantities, and many pieces are one of a kind, which makes it difficult to reproduce designs.

When will new new stock arrive?

New pieces are added regularly.

As each item is handmade and often unique, once a piece is sold it is unlikely to be repeated. The best way to stay updated is to check the website from time to time.

Do you send internationally?

Yes, I do.

If you would like your order shipped internationally, please get in touch and I will be happy to provide a shipping quote for your location.

Are your pieces one of a kind?

Yes—most pieces are woven in small quantities or as unique items. Natural fibres and hand processes mean that each piece has its own character.

Everything you see here is made, packed, and sent by me. Working in this way allows me to give each piece the care and attention it deserves, though it may occasionally mean things take a little longer.

Overview

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and the purchase of handwoven goods from The handweaver’s atelier.

By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.


2. Products

All products are handmade and handwoven.

Due to the artisanal nature of these goods:

  • Slight variations in colour, size, weave, and texture may occur
  • These variations are a natural part of the making process and are not considered defects

Every effort is made to display colours as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.


3. Pricing

  • All prices are listed in British pounds.

  • Prices may change without notice.


4. Orders

  • Orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

  • I  reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.

  • You will receive an email confirmation once your order is placed.


5. Payment

I accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards

  • Apple Pay

Payment must be completed before order processing begins.


6. Shipping & Delivery

  • Processing time: up to 3 business days

  • Delivery time: Depends on location and shipping method.

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

  • I am not responsible for delays caused by carriers.


7. Returns and Exchanges

I hope you will be delighted with your piece. Each item is carefully handwoven, and I want you to feel confident in your purchase.

Before You Order

As every piece is handmade and often one of a kind, I encourage you to:

  • Read the full product description carefully
  • Check all measurements
  • Look closely at the photographs

Returns

I accept returns within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused
  • It must be in its original condition and packaging

Please contact me before returning an item so I can assist you.

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
  • I recommend using a tracked and insured service, as I cannot be responsible for items lost in transit

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, I will process your refund.

  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
  • Please allow a few days for the refund to appear, depending on your provider

Non-Returnable Items

Because of the nature of handmade work, the following are not considered faults:

  • Slight variations in colour, texture, or weave
  • Natural irregularities that are part of the making process

These are part of what makes each piece unique.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact me within 7 days of delivery.

I will always do my best to resolve the issue promptly.


8. Intellectual Property

All designs, product descriptions, images, and website content are the property of The handweaver’s atelier.

You may not:

  • Copy
  • Reproduce
  • Distribute
  • Use any content or designs for commercial purposes

without prior permission.


9. Care Instructions

Handwoven textiles require appropriate care.

Care guidance is provided on the After Care page. I cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from improper care.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • My  total liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

11. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
