Explore wool textiles

Wool is the real star of my creations (I am just the person holding the loom, and the spinning wheel!). I take my time choosing the perfect wool for every design, because the right fibre makes all the difference.

Most of the wool I use comes from sheep bred right here in the UK. Sheep are fantastically diverse creatures. Each breed brings its own personality, texture, and little bit of magic to the yarn.

I do have a soft spot for Shetland and Faroe Island wool. Technically Faroe Island sheep aren’t British… but they are practically neighbours, so I think we can forgive them. I also adore Bluefaced Leicester wool for its beautiful softness and lovely creamy tone.

Every handwoven item comes with the name of the wool used. If you are curious about the sheep behind the fibre, you can match it up on the Meet the Sheep page.
